Concession Geology – The concession area is represented by Precambrian rocks that form part of the extensive Neoproterozoic orogenic belt referred to as the Arabian – Nubian Shield. The Hodine concession displays a wide range of rock units that incorporate tectonically interleaved remnants of oceanic and island–arc material and high–metamorphic–grade gneisses associated with orogenesis that occurred shortly after terrain accretion. Late–stage intermediate – felsic igneous intrusions punctuate the ophiolite landscape.
Outcrop exposure across the Hodine Concession area is generally very good with only a modest percentage of ground (<20%) being covered in sand/and or wadi alluvial material.

Prospect Geology – The Anbat – Shakoosh district is situated in the centre of the 9 km long intrusive belt. The belt represents late stage igneous intrusive stocks which are predominantly intermediate to felsic in composition – diorite – granodiorite. Three significant prospects are found within the district; North Anbat, Anbat and Shakoosh.

The promising granodiorite–hosted, quartz veined Anbat prospect is an oval shaped body 800m long and 380m wide, elongate in a north south direction. Mineralised quartz veins within the granodiorite trend NNE and dip moderately to the ESE. Highly silicified, pyritic, dacitic porphyry dykes encapsulate the granodiorite intrusive to the south. The geometry and abundance at depth of the mineralised felsic intrusive is the primary target of the phase 2 drill program.

The North Anbat prospect ~ 5 km North of Anbat is characterised by a stacked sequence of shallow dipping mineralised quartz veins hosted in granodiorite. The prospect has been split into three zones; Tut, Atun and Hamis. Veins range in thickness from millimetre scale to 30 – 40 cm and are exposed in the entire hillside for 35 – 40 meters elevation above the wadi. Wall rock is sericite and carbonate altered. Stacked vein sequences can be seen to strike for over 1 km.

The Shakoosh prospect is centred on a compositionally zoned diorite to quartz diorite with smoky to black quartz veins which trend between 020° to 340°. The veins transgress from the central intrusive into the volcano-sedimentary host sequence for a further 450 m, resulting in a total strike length of 750 m for the vein system.
All three prospects have a strong gold – arsenic signature which can be used as a pathfinder element for further exploration in the Anbat–Shakoosh belt.
